- 1K Swim
The water in Lake Anita is normally between 70-75°F in early August. The course is out and back, with buoys marking the entire route. Wetsuits are allowed unless water temperature is 78° or higher. (USAT rules apply.) - 40K Bike
The bike course consists of rolling hills in and outside the park, and continues south on Highway 148 to the turnaround and back. The road surface is mostly good, quiet county pavement with water at the turnaround point. Some hills are steep enough to warrant caution in rainy conditions. Helmets are required! Competitor numbers are recorded at the turnaround point to ensure that all participants complete the entire course. - 10K Run
The course circles around Lake Anita on good asphalt roads. There are many short but tough hills on this challenging course. About 1/4 mile is on a grass trail at the halfway mark. Water is available every mile. This course offers beautiful running in a gorgeous park setting.
Whaletown is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. USAT rules and regulations will be enforced. No drafting!
